Wave Sweeper was commissioned by the National Festival of Making as part of their headline commissioning programme, Art in Manufacturing. Inspired by folkloric stories unearthed during my residency with SWS UK, the abstract sculpture is an expression of the manufacturer’s place in rural Lancashire with its close proximity to the river Lune.
